APPEARANCE

“Traditional” or “Contemporary” Designs.

‘Ovolo’ style, or plain profile options are available for most designs. [Perspective Glazed Roof System]

Dual colour is an option on most designs.

CONSTRUCTION

Structural, powder coated aluminium, with thermal de-coupling and isolation for thermal integriry.

Toughened, Celsius, argon filled sealed unit glazing to meet building control requirements.
 4mm T/G - 16mm Argon gas - 4mm Celsius Clear™ T/G with 'Easy Clean'. [ More ].

Most Glass or Glazing specifications including: Celsius Plus™, Obscure, Relective, Sola Control,
 Tinted etc available.

Weather seals and gaskets to suit exposed conditions.

Choice - for some designs - of manual or electrical operation, with 'dual options' for Succot applications.

Each unit is bespoke built to suit site requirements.

ROOF ACCESS DESIGN ADVICE

There are various different design options, the selection of which can depend on matters such as:

Position, approach aspect and design of staircase.

Specific planning constraints on what height can be used in each application.

Available roof area adjacent to the apeture.

Aesthetics.

Available roof area adjacent to the apeture.

Cost.

Raised Structure with Elevations:

A Raised Access Enclosure, enables the total product to operate within a fixed perimeter, with the height and direction of the roof slope * being applied to ensure that the correct headroom is maintained above the approach stairs.

Sliding Glazed Rooflight:

In some applications, the vertical glazed sides may not be required or needed, but there must be room for the structure to travel away from the apeture and across adjacent roof space.

Hinged (Lifting) Rooflight:

In certian situations a hinged (Lift Top) structure which does not require vertical sides is suitable. Where appropriate, when open, the lid can also act as a protective balustrade for the stairway.

Opening Methods:

Clients usually prefer motorised operation, but a hand operated option is usually available. Apart from certian circumstances, power systems are 24volt operation for safety reasons. Options range from a single switch, through to fully automatic, including facilities such as, proximity sensor, rain sensor, remote control and security coded external keypads.
